 Karen Simms serves as the Executive Director, where she provides strategic vision and leadership across both TRI and TRU Healing Solutions initiatives. With a deep commitment to community healing and organizational transformation, she ensures clarity of mission and messaging across all programs. She cultivates high-level partnerships, represents the organization at key events such as the 100 Black Women’s Summit, and guides the intellectual direction of the Healing Solutions workbook and curriculum. Karen leads major donor relationships, activates board engagement, and approves all marketing, fundraising, and program strategies. Through her leadership of Weathering Storms, the Healing Solutions Workshop, and organizational pilots, she continues to shape the future of healing-centered work.

 Lyric Simms brings structure and heart to our day-to-day operations at both TRI and TRU Healing Solutions. As Assistant Director, she oversees the execution of our wellness workshops, including Healing the Helper, Third Space, and Wellness Workshops. Lyric manages the logistics that keep our community connected, coordinating everything from technical and logistical concerns and registration to volunteer committees and intern support. She also leads our communications efforts, including newsletter production, the social media calendar, and the rollout of our TRU rebrand. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for community care, she ensures that every program runs smoothly and every participant feels supported.
